Comstock Cemetery is one of two operated by Comstock Township. Foundations are required for all headstones and must have a 2″ collar on all four sides. Maple Grove begins pouring foundations the middle of April or beginning of May and continue pouring until late October or early November.

Worked with us throughout the entire process and had a great attitude through it all. Thank you Shelley! You were so helpful to me in getting a headstone. It was a unique request for my great uncle who died as a baby with the influenza epidemic of 1918, he never got a marker. You helped me through all the decisions, some I had no clue like the lettering and shiny or mat finish.I can’t wait to see the finished product when it’s delivered. Thanks again Shelley!

Besides human gravestones and cemetary markers, this company also offers pet memorial stones, like the kind you'd put in a garden and/or next to a backyard burial site. What makes Black Monument Company stand out is that they actually do the etching of the words right there in-house vs. a couple other places I called in town (pet cemetaries like Noah's) where they have to send away for custom stones, which takes days or weeks and costs more money. I was very happy with Black Monument Co - the pet grave marker they designed is a perfect sweet way to honor the memory of my dear departed furry friend.
