Norton Cemetery is governed by the City Council of Norton Shores, Michigan. There is a long list of rules and regulations set forth to better care for your departed loved one. Those we want to highlight are the maximum monument sizes.

Single Flush Markers can be 24″ x 12″ while Double Flush Markers can be 48″ x 14″. Single Markers can be 32″ x 14″ x 36″, Double Markers can be 48″ x 14″ x 36″, and Triple Markers can be 54″ x 14″ x 36″.

Thank you Shelley! You were so helpful to me in getting a headstone. It was a unique request for my great uncle who died as a baby with the influenza epidemic of 1918, he never got a marker. You helped me through all the decisions, some I had no clue like the lettering and shiny or mat finish.I can’t wait to see the finished product when it’s delivered. Thanks again Shelley!

Besides human gravestones and cemetary markers, this company also offers pet memorial stones, like the kind you'd put in a garden and/or next to a backyard burial site. What makes Black Monument Company stand out is that they actually do the etching of the words right there in-house vs. a couple other places I called in town (pet cemetaries like Noah's) where they have to send away for custom stones, which takes days or weeks and costs more money. I was very happy with Black Monument Co - the pet grave marker they designed is a perfect sweet way to honor the memory of my dear departed furry friend.
