About Pentwater Township Cemetery

The Pentwater Township Cemetery is located north of the Village of Pentwater at 8060 North Business 31. Burial spaces may be purchased by anyone, however the fees are different for township (including the Village) property taxpayers and non-township property taxpayers. Persons interested in purchasing lots in the Cemetery should contact the Township Clerk.

The Cemetery is open April 1st through October 31st. In 2012, the Cemetery underwent a major expansion and added over 500 burial sites and two additional columbariums with 96 new niches.

Thank you Shelley! You were so helpful to me in getting a headstone. It was a unique request for my great uncle who died as a baby with the influenza epidemic of 1918, he never got a marker. You helped me through all the decisions, some I had no clue like the lettering and shiny or mat finish.I can’t wait to see the finished product when it’s delivered. Thanks again Shelley!

Besides human gravestones and cemetary markers, this company also offers pet memorial stones, like the kind you'd put in a garden and/or next to a backyard burial site. What makes Black Monument Company stand out is that they actually do the etching of the words right there in-house vs. a couple other places I called in town (pet cemetaries like Noah's) where they have to send away for custom stones, which takes days or weeks and costs more money. I was very happy with Black Monument Co - the pet grave marker they designed is a perfect sweet way to honor the memory of my dear departed furry friend.
