About Vinewood Cemetery

Vinewood Cemetery located on First Street or Wyman Rd. (County Rd. 571) in the Village of Edmore, and is owned and operated by the Village of Edmore. The first burials date from as early as the 1890’s. It has been expanded over the years and now is roughly ten acres.

The wooded setting is the resting place of more than 3000 and currently has several sections with numerous available plots with years of interment space. The experienced, compassionate village staff provides exceptional support to making end-of-life arrangements at the time of need or when planning for the future.

Worked with us throughout the entire process and had a great attitude through it all. It ended up taking us 6 months to decide on a design for the stone, and not only were they patient, they also were very willing to accommodate any change we had even thought about. Thank you Shelley! You were so helpful to me in getting a headstone. It was a unique request for my great uncle who died as a baby with the influenza epidemic of 1918, he never got a marker. You helped me through all the decisions, some I had no clue like the lettering and shiny or mat finish.I can’t wait to see the finished product when it’s delivered. Thanks again Shelley!

Besides human gravestones and cemetary markers, this company also offers pet memorial stones, like the kind you'd put in a garden and/or next to a backyard burial site. What makes Black Monument Company stand out is that they actually do the etching of the words right there in-house vs. a couple other places I called in town (pet cemetaries like Noah's) where they have to send away for custom stones, which takes days or weeks and costs more money. I was very happy with Black Monument Co - the pet grave marker they designed is a perfect sweet way to honor the memory of my dear departed furry friend.
